Damien Hirst for Alexander McQueen

Damien Hirst for Alexander McQueen scarfs, available Nov. 15th

I know it’s the eve of the launch of the collaboration between H&M and Isabel Marant, but can we divert to another ? Once in awhile a fashion collaboration comes along that is so perfect that you ponder why it hasn’t happened earlier. Tis the case for Damien Hirst for Alexander McQueen scarfs. It’s hard to believe it was ten years ago when McQueen’s iconic skull scarf was seen everywhere (I had a fake one, appropriately). In celebration of its tenth birthday, Damien Hirst is wheeling out 30 new designs, including the few above. The skull motif merges with Hirst’s entomology series by using bugs to form the shapes of skulls. I’m sold, except I can’t afford them ten years later, so I’ve set the pink one above as my desktop to admire.

About Too Poor for Couture

A girl who loves fashion enough to slave away in the industry. For fun, for hobby, for inspiration, but definitely not for money (unfortunately). I don't study fashion like it's the bible nor do I know everything about it. Fashion should be fun, expressive, and effortless. Too Poor for Couture is my chronicle of fashion related thoughts, news, outfits, and randoms of a normal girl on a normal budget working un-glamorously through the fashion industry.
