No Thanks to Black Friday

PhotobucketThis was the first year that I didn’t go back home for Thanksgiving since I left, but the family happened to be in 3 different places this year so we decided to skip it until Christmas.

On a whim I tried Black Friday, after not going since high school. My choice was random – 3rd St Promenade. I started off at Urban Outfitters. It was a bunch of teens who for no reason screamed and continued screaming going in the store once the door opened. It was all shoving and grabbing, shoulder to shoulder contact from there, and the register line was insane. I ended up returning everything I bought there that day. Got a few items from Brandy Melville, but nothing with any mention-worthy discount. Boo.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and ate till they dropped! I think I’m going to stay away from Black Friday for another few years until I get the courage again.

About Too Poor for Couture

A girl who loves fashion enough to slave away in the industry. For fun, for hobby, for inspiration, but definitely not for money (unfortunately). I don't study fashion like it's the bible nor do I know everything about it. Fashion should be fun, expressive, and effortless. Too Poor for Couture is my chronicle of fashion related thoughts, news, outfits, and randoms of a normal girl on a normal budget working un-glamorously through the fashion industry.
