Oversized and Overtime

I bought this oversized men’s T-shirt from American Apparel and layered it as a dress. Got to wearing my Jeffrey Campbell slouchy boots again before it gets too hot to wear any sort of boots.

Since the economy is still doing so shitty right now, the company is cutting back on overtime. (Honestly, I don’t think they’re losing any money, just earning less than they used to). My department used to do up to 10 hours of overtime per week, and now they want us to fill out an “overtime request form” every time we go over one hour of overtime a day. The problem is, that happens almost everyday! And another problem? We still have the same amount of work, if not more! The thing that bugs me the most is that we are requesting overtime, like “Oh please give me overtime, I love overtime.” Pah-lease! We don’t have a choice! We get scrutinized if we leave early (or on time for normal working people) and if we do overtime we get reprimanded for it?! How contradictory is that?

About Too Poor for Couture

A girl who loves fashion enough to slave away in the industry. For fun, for hobby, for inspiration, but definitely not for money (unfortunately). I don't study fashion like it's the bible nor do I know everything about it. Fashion should be fun, expressive, and effortless. Too Poor for Couture is my chronicle of fashion related thoughts, news, outfits, and randoms of a normal girl on a normal budget working un-glamorously through the fashion industry.
